| When Jon Meyer, born energetic front man with a beautiful voice to match, and Alex Baerg,
incomparably talented guitarist and experienced singer-songwriter, met through their high school’s music
department in the ninth grade, there was an immediate musical chemistry between them that was impossible to
ignore. Around the same time, Alastair Sims, an incredibly talented and creative drummer, had recently split
up with his old band "The Lies", and had started playing music with his friend Jameson Pritiko, a musical
socialite from which no guitar riff could escape. All of them loved playing music, and mainly did it for
personal satisfaction. One of Alex and Jon’s friends, who they also met through the music department, is
Will O’Donnell, a passionate and naturally talented musician and poet, as well a commanding presence on
stage. He later shocked the duo with his skills as a bass player. While on a school field trip, Alastair
became good friends with Will and Jon. Soon after this, they realized that he was a stand up drummer and
decided that it would be fun to play some music together. At the same time, Alex had been scoping out
talented drummers for the same project, and had his choice set on Alastair. As soon as the group realized
the coincidence, they set off learning some Blink 182 and Fall Out Boy covers. At this time the band had
decided on the name Paper Street Soap Company, from the movie fight club. Eventually, after about a month
of recreational playing, they started writing their own material, but in the process realized that there
was something very important missing. They then enlisted the help of Jameson, to blow minds with his
guitar playing. With their new member, came a new name. Thus, Leave With Me was born. |
